Paty had only been able to sleep a couple more hours. As she showered and stared herself in the mirror, memories from what looked like a dream overflowed her and she shivered from head to toe. As she pressed her fingers to her hips, she was able to perfectly picture other hands grabbing her flesh, bigger hands. As she touched her neck, she could remember the feeling of lips pressing to it, along with tongue, biting and suckling while a hand tugged hard on her hair. She shivered again and shook her head, getting dressed while her back made her whine. She must have slept on the wrong side.
She had never had such a livid dream, because that was it. A dream. Or at least, she convinced herself of that. She could remember everything and she was still a bit shocked and freaked out at what happened, how could she have dreamed of Clark if he was dead? Why was her mind playing such a cruel trick? And how could it be possible that at one minute he was Clark and the next Loki? It can’t be.
Convincing herself that it had been just a dream/nightmare, Paty got dressed and drove over to Loki’s house. The weather wasn’t that inviting so she was going to ask if she could take Nathan home with her for the day, watch movies, give him popcorn and such. She shrugged her thoughts, knowing that Loki might listen to them and she preferred to keep the dream to herself, as so as what happened with Clark and how she helped him flee, from what she could remember and that she was sure of.
She cleared her throat as she rang the doorbell and waited for someone to open the door.
Loki spent perhaps an hour or two in the library, reading one of the many books he kept in his collection. He heard the door open on the opposite side of the room and hurried, yet cautious, footsteps wander through the many shelves in order to find him. He shut the book with a quiet snap before getting up to push it back in its place upon the shelf beside him. A moment later, the servant appeared with a weary and relieved look upon their features.
‘She’s here for the boy again.’ they told him, bowing perhaps a little too much in their nervous state as they backed away, scurrying off once they were out of sight.
“So the fun begins…” he mumbled to himself, a smile accompanying his amusement as he pushed off his feet and began to make his way out of the library.
All the while another servant had welcomed her into the building, alerting her as to where Loki was. They took her to the main room as per usual, where Loki was yet to arrive. He had taken a small detour to the kitchens to collect a blood bag. He was hungry, yet his main intention was to make her wait out the inevitable. Loki expected her nerves to be on edge after the ‘dream’ last night, so he may as well make it last for as long as he possibly could. For his own cruel fun, of course.
Paty stood in the middle of the main room, shifting her weight between her feet. She nibbled on her lip unconsciously, her heart hammering slightly on her chest. This is insane She thought as she huffed, brushing her hair back impatiently. She tried to push back the thoughts of her dream as much as possible, repress it by all means. Loki would be there any minute now and if she acted oddly, he’d notice and ask. That would be the nightmare for her.
She heard steps and turned around, seeing Nathan coming her way.
”Pats!” He called as she smiled, for the first time and it was honest, as she knelt down to hug him properly.
”Hello love.” She said as they hugged but then she started to hear more steps and her apparent calmness, vanished in two seconds. It could be Loki and she tried to brush it all off and specially, not blush. She failed. A blushed was slowly taking over her cheeks as she stood up, waiting to see if it was him.
